Forged in the heart of france
Cuisine Idéal is forged in the town of Thiers which is frequently referred to as “The Cutlery Capital of France”. More than 2/3 of all domestic French knives are produced here. There is a knifemaking tradition that dates back more than 500 years.
Seattle Cutlery is the exclusive importer for these beautiful knives. Be sure you’re getting the genuine article by ordering from us, and not a third party supplier.
Solid bolster with full tang
Tang is defined by the method that the blade is constructed. The strongest of these constructions is considered to be full tang, where the entire blade is a single piece of solid steel.
A bolster also strengthens the knife, adds durability, and provides a counter-balance.
During the quenching process, Sabatier Cuisine Ideal’s steel is infused with nitrogen gas. This allows the chromium to better defend the iron from reacting with oxygen. If iron reacts with oxygen, rust forms. Be confident knowing your knives will effortlessly avoid rusting.
