Shipping policy
All orders placed with Seattle Cutlery are shipped from our store at 1920 Pike Place, Seattle, WA 98101.
Shipping partners
We ship packages with several shipping partners, namely USPS and UPS for domestic packages and FedEx and DHL for international packages. At checkout, you will be presented with a range of shipping service options depending on the package weight and destination. If you select free standard shipping, which is available for some domestic orders, the shipping service will be chosen at our discretion. In most cases, this will be USPS Ground Advantage, but it may be UPS Ground or USPS Ground Saver for some large or heavy packages.
Pricing
Several shipping service options and their costs will be presented to you at checkout. These costs are calculated automatically according to the package weight, destination, and discounts to which Seattle Cutlery has access through our shipping providers.
An option for free standard shipping will appear on domestic orders of at least $75. When you select this option, the shipping service used will be selected by us. If your order qualifies for free shipping but you require a specific shipping service, you may still select a paid option.
Shipping time
Each shipping option at checkout will be shown with an estimated arrival date, which is calculated according to distance and typical speeds. Note that this is not necessarily a guarantee. Once the package is handed off to our shipping partner, we have little control over its progress, and delays may occur unexpectedly. We will provide you with a tracking link by email as soon as your order is shipped, and we recommend referring to this in case of a delay. Order splitting and grouping
The vast majority of orders will be shipped in a single package, and shipping fees are always calculated on this assumption. We may, however, occasionally opt to split an order into multiple shipments if it is especially large, heavy, fragile, or oddly shaped, in which case the additional shipping cost will be borne by Seattle Cutlery. The contents of each shipment will be clearly marked on the included packing slips and in shipping confirmations sent to you by email.
Additionally, if we receive multiple orders from the same customer and with the same shipping address in quick succession, we may combine the packages into one shipment. Note that shipping rates at checkout are calculated individually for each order, so if you have already placed an order that has not yet been shipped and would like to add to it, we recommend contacting us and requesting to edit your order in order to save on shipping fees.
