The G-10-handled Manix® 2 is a favorite of serious knife users who want the perfect balance of heft, full-service cutting performance, and ambidextrous operation. Now this incredibly popular knife is available as a member of Spyderco’s groundbreaking Salt® Series—knives specifically crafted for use in and around the water. These elite expressions of the Manix 2 boast full-flat-ground blades crafted from Crucible® Industries’ CPM® MagnaCut®—a revolutionary particle metallurgy steel that offers an impressive balance of edge retention, toughness, and extreme corrosion resistance. The blades are supported by high-strength Ball Bearing Lock™ mechanisms and handles featuring full skeletonized stainless-steel liners and G-10 scales. For ease of carry and security around the water, they feature pocket clips that are reversible for left- or right-side tip-up carry and generously sized lanyard holes.
Optimized for tactical applications, the all-black Manix 2 Salt cloaks its blade in a stealthy Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. Its scales are both peel-ply textured and machined with Spyderco’s signature Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern for an ultra-secure grip. Like its DLC-coated blade, this knife’s liners, pocket clip, and all other hardware are also made from ultra-corrosion-resistant materials and have non-reflective black coatings. 
For greater visibility in aquatic environments, the Manix 2 Salt is also available with a satin-finished blade and two-toned G-10 scales featuring alternating black and yellow layers. The scales are painstakingly machined with a Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture pattern to create a high-traction texture that reveals the bright yellow layers for enhanced visibility. The knife’s handle hardware is also crafted from ultra-corrosion-resistant, marine-grade materials enhanced by black coatings.
