The Nakiyo Pocket Sharpening Rod clips into your pocket like a pen for quick knife maintenance on the go. The diamond-studded steel rod is triangular in profile—the flat sides are for sharpening plain edges while the rounded corners are meant for serrated edges. Each corner has a different radius to match fine, medium, and coarse serrations.

This sharpener is recommended for pocket and outdoor knives only. For kitchen knives, sharpening stones are ideal, but other, easier sharpening tools are also available.
