We designed the Synergy X Alox as part of our Alox Refined collection. Building on the synergy theme, we added the "X" to represent extended functionality with the addition of precision scissors. Made for those who require everyday tools in a modernized design, this ten-function pocket knife is a new generation multitasker. Available in three colors – red, dark blue and silver – the Synergy X Alox features skeletonized Alox scales for a durable and distinctive look.

I’ve been carrying a Super Tinker for about 40 years. I’ve tried others, but always returned to the same (almost) perfect tool set. I have high hopes for this Synergy X. It has been in my pocket for 2 weeks now, and the Super Tinker is taking a well-deserved rest. This handsome design is pretty great for my purposes, but I do supplement it with a 58mm model on my keychain.

Sometimes you're strolling on the internet and you come across the unicorn and you purchase that unicorn. I would like to thank sea cut for having item in stock. I also appreciated the personalized business card and receipt from them. I absolutely look forward to doing more business with you guys in the future. The Ska synergy alox is a wonderful Swiss army knife and the locking feature on the big blade is something I do appreciate. I have swapped out my Leatherman t4 for this as my daily carry.
Became my everyday carry
I would give this a 4.5 out 5, but am rounding up.
Pros: Design, unique red, tool panoply has almost everything I want except philiips head
Cons: The clip does feel a little loose in the pocket, especially if you are in a seat that happens to lean back, name (Synergy X?!) just doesn’t fit with traditional SKA names like Huntsman, Minichamp, Companion, etc. The liner lock is pretty stiff but it is already loosening up, and unlike fears online I have not cut myself in closing, the skeletonized cutouts do not seem to gather lint, except for the cutout around the joint. This is understandable because this is the lowest point when the knife is clip carried in the pocket. The package opener is very nice, slices through cardboard or paper, because of the serration. The tools are very snappy and satisfying to close and open on their own. Overall I love the look and feel of this everyday carry tool.
