Nakiyo Compact Diamond Sharpener

The Nakiyo Compact Diamond Sharpener may not give your knives a mirror finish, but at only 2 inches square and less than an ounce, it fits easily into your pocket for a quick, coarse edge on the go. It features both a pull-through sharpener for plain edges and a rod for serrated edges and fine tuning.

To sharpen most knives, simply hold the blade vertically and pull it toward you through the slot. Two diamond-studded rods arranged in a V-shape will quickly grind the edge to a 20° angle.

For fine-tuning and edge repair, use the larger diamond-studded rod affixed to the side. It can also be used to re-cut serrations on a serrated knife.

This sharpener is recommended for pocket and outdoor knives only. For kitchen knives, sharpening stones are ideal, but a multi-stage pull-through sharpener is also an option.
